First EGA Qualifier results
27-05-2019Yesterday was really a lot of fun. Twelve players plus a small audience showed up to the Esports Game Arena for the second chance to earn DSCL points, and the first qualifier in Alphen aan den Rijn. Thanks everybody for coming and Nyr for casting!
The players were split over two round robin groups of 6, so everyone played lots of matches. Once all the group matches were played both group winners – aGaham and Lind – played each other in a best-of-five to determine first place, while uThermal (playing Zerg) and Fearomatic, who placed 2nd in their groups, played a best-of-three for 3rd place. In the end the French player Lind, who lives and studies in Leiden, managed to beat aGaham 3-1 in the finals! uThermal proved too strong for Fearomatic in the 3rd-place match. If you missed it check out the full broadcast on Twitch.
Now on to the prizes! The DSCL Ranking has been updated to reflect yesterday’s result. aGaham is firmly in the lead, with Kelazhur and Lind rounding out the top 3. As for prize money: the total number of games won was 74, which means around €3,71 per game won. This means the players have earned the following amounts:
